Welcome to Te Puke, regarded as the official home of the little green, furry fruit known as Kiwifruit or otherwise known as 'chinese gooseberry'. Te Puke produces more than 40% of New Zealand's overall production of this sought-after fruit. Both green and gold Kiwifruit orchards are abound in the Te Puke area.
